After-Hours Account Development Representative

The Role:
As an After-Hours Night Shift Account Development Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive round-the-clock service. You will provide real-time updates on shipments, bid on customer spot freight during night hours, and secure after-hours freight coverage with carriers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent problem-solving skills, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service outside traditional business hours.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure continued partnership.
• Work directly with Business Development Representatives to support and grow customer accounts.
• Provide timely and accurate shipment updates to customers, ensuring a customer-centric approach.
• Respond to customer inquiries with urgency, offering industry-leading customer service.
• Monitor and bid on customer spot freight during night hours to secure business opportunities.
• Source and book after-hours freight with carriers to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Leverage OTR’s technology platform to generate reports, analyze load data, and exceed customer expectations.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance the overall customer experience.

Experience/Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
• Strong interest in providing industry-leading customer service.
• Ability to thrive under deadlines, drive results, multi-task, and work with a sense of urgency.
• Willingness to excel in a high-energy setting, working overnight shifts in an office environment, and engaging with clients over the phone alongside a team of peers.
• Demonstrated skills in building relationships and establishing rapport with colleagues, leaders, and clients.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively across the company.
• Driven, enthusiastic, resilient, agile, and highly motivated.
