II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform a variety of material handling operations, including operation of a forklift, clamp truck, pallet jack, weight scale, and stretch wrap machine.

- Move raw materials to the production floor, remove finished goods from the floor and store in warehouse. Move materials between warehouses as needed.

- Unload incoming shipments of raw materials and load outgoing finished goods onto trailers verifying that accompanying paperwork is accurate and complete, noting damage, shortages, etc.

- Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure cargo has been palletized and loaded correctly and is secure before departing.

- Assist the Warehouse Manager in management/tracking of warehouse inventory, order fulfillment, and transportation scheduling including accurate preparation of Bills of Lading, UPS, and other carrier shipping documents.

- Assist with maintaining the warehouse, including cleaning and equipment maintenance. Complete maintenance logs and inspection sheets for equipment and machinery.

- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse/production area.

- Assist in production- sort, collate, assemble, machine, package, label, palletize, wrap, and weigh product as needed.

- Drive obeying all New York State traffic laws. Reports any traffic violations immediately to supervisor and Human Resources. Report vehicle equipment problems to supervisor.

- In the event of an accident, assures that established emergency procedures are followed, completes a written accident report as required.

- Keep vehicles clean inside and out, take vehicles for services as needed, perform routine vehicle maintenance as needed.

- Ensures the safety and well-being of passengers being transported to and from Creekside Industries. Provide physical assistance, as necessary.

- Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections, completes vehicle logs, ensures agency vehicles have sufficient fuel levels.

- Maintain sensitive and confidential information.

- Participate in all required trainings and meetings.

- Follow Agency safety policies and adheres to OSHA guidelines for safety.

- Adhere to all policies of Creekside Industry

- Adhere to The Arc Otsego's philosophies, mission, and core values.

- Complete other duties, assignments and projects as assigned.

Skills: Load, transport, and unload products and materials from vehicles, sometimes using a forklift or pallet jack. Conduct inventory procedures. May also be assigned to transport people using Agency provided vehicle to and from the proper destination safely, follows all rules of the road including agency policies and procedures. Keeps vehicles neat, clean, and in good operating condition. Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; able to multitask, Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Changes approach/method to best fit the situation; Manages difficult or emotional situations, while keeping one's own emotions under control; Follows instructions and responds promptly to requests for assistance; Solicits feedback to improve service/production; Meets commitments; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Maintains confidentiality; Sound decision making and judgment, interpersonal skills, planning/organizing, and time management. Ability to provide effective training and coaching, Ability to supervise trainees and supported employees.

- Safety: Performs duties related to the prevention, control, and reporting of personal illness/injury and loss or damage to equipment/facility/vehicle; role models PPE; demonstrates competence in all aspects of machinery and equipment use.

IV. QUALIFICATIONS

- Education and/or Employment Experience: High School Diploma or GED, preferred. Or a combination of education and experience that in the opinion of the agency meets the requirements of this position.

- Certifications, Licenses, Registration: Must possess a valid NYS driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Previous forklift experience/certification a plus. Successful completion and maintenance of CPR/First Aid.

- Computer Skills: Must be able to use an electronic system to punch in and out each day, use of other Agency assigned software such as Office 365.

- Physically able to bend/stoop, squat, push/pull, reach above/below shoulder level frequently.

- Must be able to independently lift and/or transfer, push or pull up to 50 lbs. No lifting restrictions.

- Must have adequate vision, speaking and hearing ability, with or without correction, to be constantly operate machinery.

- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

- Must have the ability to ambulate; reach with hands and arms.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, dust or airborne particles.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
