Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Job Purpose:
The Coordinator of Court Services plays a pivotal role in the development, management, and oversight of court programs within the Probate and Juvenile Courts. This position is responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, retaining, and recertifying attorneys, volunteers, and other professionals essential to program success. Additionally, the coordinator researches, designs, and implements innovative specialty court programs under the direction of the Probate and Juvenile Court judge to enhance services and meet evolving community needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee the administration and operations of various court programs, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
· Accurately collect, analyze, and report program data to track progress, measure outcomes, and support decision-making.
· Coordinate and actively participate in team meetings, court hearings, and specialized training for specialty court programs.
· Recruit, onboard, and maintain a network of attorneys, volunteers, and service providers to support program initiatives.
· Develop and sustain strong relationships with community organizations, treatment providers, and social service agencies to enhance resource availability and program collaboration.
· Maintain thorough documentation of participant progress, ensuring compliance with legal and programmatic requirements.
· Serve as a liaison between the court, treatment teams, and external partners, compiling detailed reports for meetings and judicial review.
· Ensure compliance with all grant funding requirements, including application processes, program tracking, and timely reporting.
· Prepare and submit statistical reports to the Supreme Court of Ohio and other agencies as required.
· Monitor and assess program effectiveness, recommending enhancements and new initiatives based on research, best practices, and community needs.
· Maintain professional and constructive relationships with court personnel, external partners, and stakeholders.
· Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance while upholding court policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in social work, criminal justice, public administration, or a related field, OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination within a legal, social services, or nonprofit setting.
· Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
· Possession of a valid Ohio driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Strong understanding of mental health and substance use treatment programs, including community-based support services.
· Familiarity with grant funding opportunities, application processes, and reporting requirements.
· Knowledge of mandatory reporting laws and legal requirements relevant to juvenile and probate matters.
· Proficiency in maintaining accurate records, writing reports, and ensuring compliance with court policies.
· Understanding of court procedures, the criminal justice system, the Ohio Revised Code, and risk/needs assessments.
· Technological proficiency, including expertise in Zoom, Microsoft Word & Excel, Google Docs & Sheets, and case management systems.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in confidential matters.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
· Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
· Ability to work extended periods sitting or standing as required.
· Clear auditory and visual abilities for effective communication and document review.
· Ability to input data using a computer or traditional keyboard.
