Overview
The role of a Full-Time Life Enrichment Leader is to create an environment that provides opportunity for the community members to enjoy the highest possible quality of life while providing psychosocial support to elders, families, and partners.
Full-time 830a-530p, and every other weekend
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of activities for elders that encourage socialization, entertainment, relaxation, and improve daily living skills.
- Completes an in-depth assessment of each elder and provides for elder specific materials for activities identified by the elders Leads monthly Counsel Meetings
- Provides and maintains a supply of common materials for indoor and outdoor recreation and diversion while mentoring the elder assistants with activity direction.
- Assures that activities are available to elders
- Weekly visits to evaluate individual levels of engagement
- Create individual opportunities for all newly admitted elders as per Activities Policy
- Completes all Activity related reports and MDS documentation
Qualifications
Education: Post-secondary education preferred, with emphasis on social work, counseling or geriatrics. MEPAP-1, required or obtained within designated time. A licensed Therapeutic Recreation Specialist will be considered
Licensure: Holds a valid OH driver’s license, Serv-Safe, preferred, CPR and First Aid certifications, preferred.
