- Requires Peer Support Specialist certification or documentation of Peer Support Specialist course enrollment
Position Summary
- Provide Substance Abuse Recovery Services to include relapse prevention.
- Monitor and communicate behavioral, mental, and emotional state of clients to primary therapist and other treatment team members.
- Assist and support beneficiaries in identifying goals.
- Assist beneficiaries in acquiring skills needed to support an independent lifestyle and promote an improved sense of self-worth.
- Educate and assist clients with accessing supports, resources, and services needed to promote and maintain recovery.
- Follow up with clients who miss or cancel appointments.
- Monitor and maintain client cases in an electronic documentation system.
- Attend required training.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred.
- CPR and First Aid are required and provided by the organization.
- Verbal de-escalation training is required and is provided by the organization.
