The Role?
As the E-commerce Merchandiser and Buyer, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory for our US and UK Marketplaces. You will be responsible for setting forecast allocations, creating an open-to-buy system to track current and future inventory, coordinating with operations for regular replenishments, and building out demand planning based on promotional periods and market needs. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, eCommerce.
What You’ll Do:
Inventory Management:
- Oversee and manage inventory levels across the US and UK websites, TikTok Shops, Shops, TYB Shops, and any new market expansions.
- Monitor product availability to prevent overselling and overstock situations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product data is accurate and up-to-date across all digital storefronts.
Forecasting, Allocation, and Open-to-Buy:
- Develop and manage product allocation forecasts using historical data and market trends.
- Maintain an open-to-buy system to track and optimize inventory flow based on sales performance.
- Conduct regular inventory performance analyses to refine allocation strategies.
- Build demand planning strategies aligned with promotional periods, seasonal trends, and market demand.
- Leverage data-driven insights to anticipate customer preferences and optimize product assortment.
Operations Coordination:
- Collaborate with operations teams to facilitate timely and accurate inventory replenishment for US and UK websites.
- Coordinate logistics for inventory-related processes, including shipping, warehousing, and order fulfillment.
What You’ll Bring:
- 4 years of experience as an E-commerce Merchandiser and Buyer in a retail or e-commerce setting.
- “We Ask Questions to Find the Best Answers” This role thrives on curiosity, using questions to drive data-backed decisions, optimize inventory, and enhance forecasting.
- Strong expertise in inventory management principles and forecasting techniques.
- Experience with demand planning and open-to-buy systems.
- Proficiency with Shopify, NetSuite, and warehouse management systems (e.g., Pitney Bowes/UNIS) is a plus.
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of beauty industry trends and consumer behavior is preferred.
- Annual Base Salary Range is $90,000- $110,000(based on experience)
