Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Manager to oversee the operations of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management, medical records administration, and regulatory compliance, particularly with HIPAA guidelines. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage clinic operations, human resources, financial planning, and patient care coordination in an acute care setting.

The Medical Manager will work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative teams to ensure seamless facility operations, optimal patient experiences, and adherence to industry standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management:

  • Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Develop and implement policies to improve patient care delivery, clinic efficiency, and overall performance.
  • Maintain a safe, patient-centered environment while upholding healthcare regulations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous operational improvements.

Medical Records & Compliance:

  • Manage and maintain accurate, confidential, and secure patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Implement and oversee eClinicalWorks and other electronic medical record (EMR) systems for effective data management.
  • Stay updated with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations, ensuring full compliance within the facility.

Human Resources & Leadership:

  • Oversee staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement staff development programs, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Address employee concerns and implement HR best practices to boost retention and job satisfaction.

Financial & Budget Management:

  • Develop, oversee, and manage the clinic’s financial budget, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Optimize resource allocation and reduce operational inefficiencies.
  • Monitor expenses, ensuring financial sustainability and profitability.

Patient Care & Service Enhancement:

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient care services.
  • Address patient concerns, feedback, and complaints, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives, focusing on patient outcomes and service excellence.

Requirements

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in a medical management or healthcare leadership role within a clinic or healthcare facility.
  • Strong familiarity with acute care environments and the unique challenges they present.
  • Experience managing eClinicalWorks or similar EMR/EHR systems.
  • Technical & Compliance Knowledge:
  • In-depth understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance processes is a plus.
  • Leadership & Organizational Skills:
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement process improvements.
  • Financial & Business Acumen:
  • Experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation within a healthcare context.
  • Additional Preferences:
  • Experience in veterinary practices is a plus but not required.

Pay: $79,330.00 - $84,226.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
