What are the responsibilities and job description for the Configuration Management Analyst position at Our Company?
Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, a rapidly growing small company in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to support NASA Marshall Space Flight Center's Integrated Avionics and Test Facility.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Support the development and implementation of the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) principles and processes
• Maintain configuration control of various labs, test facilities, and emulators
• Conduct Configuration Management Document Audits, Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)
• Support baseline management for hardware deliveries and software releases
• Prepare and deliver software to internal/external customers
• Perform software installations and file transfers using SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) from a local source to a remote server
• Schedule, facilitate and deliver presentations at various boards (Configuration Control Board (CCB), System Review Board (SRB), etc.)
• Develop and Maintain CM related Work Instructions
• Perform configuration management of artifacts, individual modules and module suites to ensure database integrity
• Perform audits of bidirectional traceability from requirements to test campaign artifacts to ensure integrity of full lifecycle bidirectional traceability
• Support implementation of a MS SharePoint request system for hardware transactions
• Support drawing updates and releases as necessary
• Categorize, label, and identify storage locations for controlled hardware
• Perform, provide support, and oversee Inventory Process Audits
• Provide Monthly Inventory Metrics
Requirements and Qualifications:
• US Citizenship required
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Management Information Systems, or related field or equivalent
•2 years' experience serving in Configuration Management or related field; or relevant experience
• Experience with DOORS and/or DOORS NextGen
• Self-motivated and a team player familiar with working in a dynamic work environment
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Must have understanding of the software engineering development lifecycle
• Must have working knowledge of Version Control tools such as Subversion, Git, Jira, and Serena Business Manager repositories
