Position Overview
This position will partner with the project team to oversee the start-up and launch of the facility. The position will own selected elements of the Cell Manufacturing Process and will drive continual process improvement. Responsibilities will include a mix of day-to-day, medium-term, and long-term improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes.
- Monitoring and measurement of manufacturing processes
- Control of non-conforming product
- Internal audits
- Train operators and technicians in use of analytical equipment, in testing methods, and in the application of SPC
- Daily, assess quality performance issues, set priorities, engage the required resources, and execute corrective / preventive action.
- Daily, anticipate performance issues, and develop effective mitigation and contingency plans.
- On a routine basis, monitor and analyze Process data, identify issues, and take action to ensure the plant delivers on its production commitments and continually improves
- Engage daily with operators and technicians to identify opportunities and to drive improvement.
- Actively monitor compliance with the manufacturing processes and engage in correcting non-compliances
- Own short-term and mid-term improvement projects in support of the plant strategy, applying the best available methodologies and tools
- Ensure that improvement is anchored, and that knowledge is effectively shared and retained
- Partner with the Manufacturing Engineers to : Drive the PFMEA development, perform root cause analyses and continuously improve the robustness of control plans
- Partner with the Operations function to create a climate of rigorous operational discipline, continuous improvement, and daily learning.
- Develops and optimizes continuous production and battery cell assembly manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization.
