Middle School English Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic growth. This role involves teaching English language and literature to students, developing curriculum, and assessing student progress through various methods, including standardized testing. The English Teacher will also have opportunities to incorporate creative writing and instructional design into their lessons.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Teach English language skills, literature analysis, creative writing, and copy editing techniques.
• Assess student performance through standardized testing and classroom evaluations.
• Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes open communication and encourages students to express their ideas.
• Collaborate with fellow educators in curriculum development and instructional strategies.
• Provide individualized support to students as needed, drawing on experience working with diverse learners.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding academic performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Experience working with students in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in copy editing, curriculum development, and instructional design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey concepts to students.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and requirements.
• Previous experience in a private school setting is a plus.
• A passion for literature and the ability to inspire creativity in students through writing activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
