We are searching for a skilled Marketing Manager to lead our marketing team in growing our subscriber base, growing our advertiser base, and increasing our visibility in the marketplace. This is a hands-on role that will require development and implementation of ideas, strategies, and events. The ideal candidate will have a proven track-record in marketing, have experience with a number of digital platforms, and have an extensive knowledge of North Carolina.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to :
- Implement events, public relations, and digital campaigns to ensure the high visibility and continued growth of Our State using both traditional and innovative approaches.
- Develop and execute strategic efforts to promote both the magazine and events, achieving significant increases in brand awareness and consumer engagement.
- Develop relationships with organizations, businesses, and key media outlets across the state to establish opportunities to promote and showcase the Our State brand.
- Develop compelling story angles to promote the monthly issue of the magazine and oversee coordination of television appearances and interviews.
- Manage the operations manager, and event coordinator to develop special events, including festival appearances, boutique events, sponsorship events, premier events, etc.
- Oversee contract event staff to assist with selection, training, and event preparation.
- Actively contribute to Our State social media outlets.
- Maintain an effective working relationship and open communication with in-house editorial, digital, sales, circulation, store, and production departments.
