CLINICAL SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Job Description and Purpose
The Clinical Support Technician fulfills the assigned role as part of the treatment team to maintain the wellbeing of clients and the integrity of the program. Additionally, the Clinical Support Technician provides client supervision and staff / unit support as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
o Develop and maintain appropriate professional relationships with clients and staff
o Collect and supervise U / A testing, reporting and documentation in the EMR as needed and proper disposal of UA samples.
o Attend Staff meetings as needed
o Observes self-administration of medication as needed and documents thoroughly o Supports clients emotionally and environmentally for comfort and safety
o Facilitate groups, outings, and educational sessions
o Transport clients to meetings and appointments
o Conduct contraband searches and random room searches
o Listens, documents, and reports client behavior
o Maintains confidentiality of clients at all time
o Follows company policies and procedures
o Provides encouragement, guidance and support to clients and family members o Completes intake assessments and consents with client
o Documents all medications in the hardcopy Centrally Stored Medication Log, as well as Centrally Stored Medication Log in the EMR
o Provides crisis intervention and encourages a healthy residential and working environment o Communicates and collaborates with co-workers, clinical staff, and administration in order to deliver the best quality care possible.
o Patient rounds every 30 minutes
o Complete vital signs Blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, pulse, respiration every 4 hours during detox (minimum of 72 hours) and then twice daily (morning and evening) until the client discharges the facility.
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies Required
o Must be able to utilize computers and various technological devices.
o Medical experience is a plus.
o Compassionate and friendly demeanor.
o Understands and maintains policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate. o Understands and complies with HIPPA and client confidentiality.
o Basic knowledge of referrals, both in and out of the facility.
o Ability to communicate clearly, with clients, staff, peers, supervisors and outside resource representatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 20 years of age
Current RADT registration
Class C Drivers License (if driving for company), otherwise, will need Photo ID. _____ CPR / First Aid certification required, obtain upon employment and maintain current thereafter.
Ability to pass pre-employment requirements : Criminal Background Clearance, Negative Drug Screen and provide required documents.
Health Screen required
Negative TB Test Results required
Develop computer skills adequate to perform word processing duties upon employment.
Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at a desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff.
