Job Description
Out of the Woods Cabinetry is seeking a Paint & Finishing Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for operating the Venjakob machine and performing manual painting and staining to achieve high-quality finishes for custom cabinetry. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, follows strict safety and quality procedures, and works efficiently to meet production goals.
What You Will Do:
- Program, set up, operate, and clean the Venjakob machine
- Paint and stain custom cabinetry using spray guns to ensure superior finishes
- Prepare and label paint cans, stirring and rotating product for optimal finishing
- Maintain clean workstations, tools, and equipment for safety and efficiency
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth workflow
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns to management immediately
What You Will Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in painting, staining, or wood finishing preferred
- Ability to handle and move wood products with care to maintain quality
- Basic math skills and fluency in English (Spanish skills are a plus)
- Experience operating power tools and woodworking equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Dependable work ethic and strong attendance record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
What You Will Experience:
- Work in a cabinet shop and warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, and paint fumes
- Regular use of power tools and heavy machinery
- Standing for extended periods with repetitive hand and wrist movements
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs regularly
- Wearing required PPE, including closed-toe shoes, eye/ear protection, and a respirator
