Job Summary:
The Irrigation Crew Lead manages a team of irrigation technicians, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The Irrigation Crew Leader will perform routine maintenance checks for current irrigation and landscape lighting clientele. Checks will include, but not limited to, monitoring plant health, adjusting nozzles and Lighting, system performance, troubleshooting, spring start-ups, and winterizing irrigation systems. Systems will include multi-wire and 2-wire systems.
Requirements
Duties/Responsibilities:
-Leading the team: Supervising crew members, delegating tasks, and confirming completion. Assist with installation of control panels, rain sensors, valves & nozzles, program control panel, verify operation of overall irrigation system. Support crew by contributing to constant attention to detail, cleanliness of job sites, and preventive maintenance of all equipment.
-Managing schedules: Coordinating daily tasks and schedules for the crew. Monitor all tools, equipment and machinery for needed maintenance.
-Ensuring Safety: Maintaining high standards of safety on job sites. Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times. Ensure all crew members utilize all required PPE. Ensures that all equipment usage and maintenance procedures are followed.
-Communicating: Communicating effectively with team members and clients.
-Managing equipment: Loading trucks and trailers with necessary equipment and parts. Monitor and test new installations. Perform physical field and yard work; loading and unload vehicles at pickup and delivery.
-Providing customer service: Interacting with the customer and proactively assisting in achieving resolution. Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility. High attention to detail.
-Proving feedback: Proving performance feedback to crew members.
Requirements:
- Driver’s License
- 3 years of experience in Irrigation & Landscaping preferred
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work individually as we as part of a team
- Preference given to candidates with experience
- Bi-lingual (Spanish and English)
- Backflow certification preferred
- Irrigation Tech certification preferred
