Powersports Plus is looking for a Service Writer that can take our Service Department to the next-level, with their ninja-like customer service skills and firm understanding of powersports vehicles. This is a position for an outgoing person that is team-minded.

Required Experience:
Primary duties and responsibilities, not limited to:
Customer Service
- Maintains a neat and professional appearance
- Create and strengthen relationships with customers by creating a customer-centric experience
- Assist all customers in need, regardless of department (sales, service, or parts)
- Maintain a tidy workspace
- Inform management of customer service opportunities
- Enhances organization by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value.
Service Writing
- Ascertains vehicle problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules
- Adhere to all PSP rules and State regulations regarding repair order processing
- Develops accurate estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment.
- Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into Lightspeed.
- Inform service customers of work status (completed, additional work approvals, etc)
- Increase revenue by performing thorough inspections of incoming units to identify and sell current and future potential work
- Facilitate sublet work orders
Parts Counter
- Assist counter customers locate product
- Process special orders and sales in Lightspeed dealer management system
- Process purchase orders within DMS
- Re-order adequate supply of common, fast-moving parts and accessories
- Accurately record price and quantity of received product from suppliers
- Create and process supplier returns
- Maintain accurate parts department inventory records
- Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available
- Pull product for technicians
Qualifications
- Is familiar with basic combustion engine operation and parts
- Knows and understands general powersports products and vehicles
- Can demonstrate good ability to learn and operate new computer systems
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures, as defined by management
- Able to effectively multi-task several job functions at once
Working Conditions
Shop environment with potential physical hazards, as well as substantial office conditions
May be required to work more than 40 hours
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Lift up to 50lbs
Routinely kneel-down, bend-over, and reach to high shelves
