Main Purpose and Major Challenges of the Role
Responsible for managing the timely flow of materials and products throughout the production process, coordinating with various departments to ensure planned delivery of goods from international suppliers, customs brokers, freight forwarders and warehouses. Communicate with suppliers and transportation providers to maintain efficient production and logistics processes through to delivery of product to the 3PL fulfillment centers.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Production
- Coordinate and manage overseas production processes for apparel and accessories to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Issue purchase orders and track the PO lifecycle
- Serve as the primary point of contact with factories, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
- Oversee Work in Progress (WIP) updates and track production milestones to ensure schedules are met.
- Monitor and resolve any issues related to item production and delivery.
- Work closely with internal teams to streamline processes and align production goals.
Logistics
- Coordinate and monitor shipments of goods from overseas factories and ensure clean and timely receipt into 3PL
- Assist with creating accurate and timely advanced shipping notices in our ERP prior to arrival to our 3PL
- Communicate with vendors and warehouse to resolve any issues that may arise
- Work with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure entry documents and certifications are completed and submitted prior to arrival.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to lead and influence the overall sourcing and logistics process.

Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make informed judgments and recommend solutions.
Subject Area Expertise:
Understanding of concepts and procedures specific to production and logistics management within the apparel industry.
Team Collaboration:
Ability to work with a small internal team while utilizing vendor capabilities to simplify the internal workload.
Process-Oriented and Results-Driven:
Focused on driving results, following process-oriented approaches, and capable of stepping in for other functions when there is a business need.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- · Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
- · 2 years of experience in apparel production and logistics coordination, customer service, or a related field within the apparel industry.
- · Proven track record in managing contract negotiations, RFP processes, and maintaining effective vendor relationships.
- · Knowledge of freight and shipping procedures, including LTL, FTL, and international shipping, specific to apparel.
- · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with logistics software or ERP systems.
- · Experience in the apparel industry is a plus.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
