Family Nurse Practitioner (for Outpatient Community Health Clinic)
Rewarding work serving low income and underserved. As a family nurse practitioner, provide healthcare services to patients of all ages for a non-profit organization with FQHC health services in Tallulah, La. Under clinical review and collaboration with the Medical Director/designee, the nurse practitioner assesses, examines, diagnoses, and treats OMC under its federal scope of practice, privileging, and standards of care. The nurse practitioner will prescribe appropriate medications and treatment recommendations to improve health, wellbeing, and the management of chronic conditions. Consults supervising physician and specialists, as appropriate and based on evidence-based treatment guidelines.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana
- DEA and CDS licenses
- Current CPR certification
- Experience providing team-oriented primary healthcare
- Excellent written and oral communication and inter-personal skills.
- ability to timely document medical encounters in an electronic record system, according to regulations
