We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in providing assessment, individual and group counseling, particularly with children and families. This role involves conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering psychotherapy services to support the mental health and well-being of clients. The Therapist will work collaboratively with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions tailored to the needs of clients.
- Perform thorough patient assessments to identify mental health issues and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy services focusing on children, families, and individuals
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with other healthcare professionals.
- Collect data on client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with social workers, educators, and other stakeholders to enhance client support systems.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in therapy.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field required
- Valid Maryland Board licensure or as a Therapist is required
- Experience in individual group counseling and child family counseling is preferred.
- Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and medical terminology.
- Strong understanding of working with children, particularly those on the ADHD, Depression and anxiety
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
