We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our Outpatient Surgery Center team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff. This position involves the cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of Surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sterilize Surgical instruments using appropriate methods and equipment.
- Prepare and organize instruments for Surgical procedures, ensuring availability and readiness.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and monitor equipment functionality.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent contamination in the clinic environment.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying the team when reordering is necessary.
- Collaborate with Surgical assistants and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow during patient procedures.
- Stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques and dental safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficient understanding of surgical terminology and medical terminology relevant to the role.
- Knowledge of anatomy as it pertains to procedures.
- Experience or education in surgical procedures, particularly in an urology setting, is highly desirable.
- Strong grasp of aseptic technique to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work effectively in a surgical center environment, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills.
