About the Position
Outpost Campers is looking for a Camper Assembly Tech to join our camper production and upfitting team. This role reports to the Camper Upfitting Manager and focuses on the installation of camper interior components. Installation tasks include cabinetry installation, plumbing and electrical installation, systems testing and quality control.
Applicants should be comfortable with basic tools and be able to follow installation guidelines. Basic electrical knowledge is needed for installation of the power system and wiring harness. Basic plumbing skills can be learned on the job. As a member of the team responsibilities will also include developing an in depth knowledge of the EcoFlow power system, SIP composite technology and electrical code for truck camper manufacturing. Team members also assist with warranty work, inventory management, and shop upkeep.
Tools used include caulking guns, chop saws, drills, grinders, impact drivers, and various other hand and power tools. We also use project management software accessible via smartphones and tablets. This is a physical job and will require being on your feet, lifting items over 50 lbs., standing on ladders, etc.
This is a low stress job that is great for anyone who likes to build things and learn new skills.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work on ladders
- General construction or carpentry experience is a plus (willing to train the right candidate)
- Willingness to learn basic electrical and plumbing techniques and camper code requirement.
- Reliable transportation to our facility in Bayfield, CO
- Work schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7 AM - 5 PM (4-day workweek with 3-day weekends!)

Compensation & Hiring Process:
- Starting pay: $18/hr, increasing to $20/hr after a successful 4-week probationary period. Additional payment is awarded based on performance and demonstration of skills acquisition.
