Outreach is hiring a Part-time Junior High Youth Worker at Outreach Warrenville to support 6-8th grade students academically and develop life skills during our summer program.
Schedule:
- Staff Training – June 2 to June 6
- Program Dates – June 9 to August 1
- Program Schedule – Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm
- Some flexibility in scheduling hours- need availability Friday 8:30am-4:00pm

Responsibilities:
- The Part-time Junior High Youth Worker is responsible for building relationships with students and facilitating learning in the summer day program for 6th—8th graders.
- The Part-time Junior High Youth Worker’s duties include academic and life skills instruction, community service and recreational activities, teaching Christian education, and facilitating experiential learning group work with students.
- The Part-time Junior High Youth Worker is responsible for parent communication and maintaining Outreach's standard of classroom behavior during program time. The class size averages 15 to 20 students.
Qualifications:
- BA in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- A passion for working with middle school-age students.
- Classroom or group experience with children.
- Previous experience facilitating experiential or service learning is strongly preferred.
- Experience with and sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, high-risk families.
- Bilingual (Spanish/ English) is a plus.
- A current, valid IL driver's license, along with a good driving record, is required.
- A commitment to Outreach's Statement of Mission & Faith.
Salary : $17 - $18
