The Sales Manager role will be responsible for driving, facilitating, and executing the commercial business strategy to support the Group market segment with additional responsibility for the Corporate Business Travel market, segment for The OUTRIGGER Kauai Beach Resort & Spa. This role includes the development and effective solicitation of new sales prospects, as well as the establishment and nurturing of client relationships to close both Group and BT business opportunities as well as achieve and exceed sales targets. The candidate will bring a proactive sales approach, focusing on uncovering new business opportunities by leveraging existing relationships and utilizing on-line solicitation tools as well as handling incoming property leads. The focus is on targeted Hawaii and mainland markets and accounts to ensure group room and banquet targets are met and exceeded. Additionally, the candidate will have a deep understanding of strategic selling and will be skilled in nurturing and expanding relationships with existing Outrigger customers both in the local and mainland markets. With the support of the Director of Sales, the ideal candidate will understand group and BT segments and execute activities and programs that support the achievement of established sales, revenue targets, and business goals.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Business or Hospitality field preferred and 3 years of relevant work experience or a comparable technical training and five (5) years previous Sales experience with the Travel Industry. Must have proven ability to build, cultivate and maintain strong relationships that translate into business.
