Youth pair with chef mentors and case managers to develop the skills needed to secure and maintain culinary jobs. Sprouts Chef Training is seeking an event professional to help execute our Michelin Starred Chef fall fundraiser, featuring some of the best Italian chefs out in the SF bay area. This position requires strong communication with chefs and vendors, organizing rental orders and logistics, coordinating in-kind ingredient donations, coordinating with a team of volunteers, and helping finalize and execute a tight event timeline. You will work alongside Sprouts full-time, remote event director, marketing lead, development director, event committee of board members and donors, two interns, and a team of inspired volunteers.

Sample Tasks

  • Support the execution of the Sprouts event schedule in SF, Philly, and NYC featuring top chefs in the industry and top bar and wineries.
  • Attend and help execute the event in SF on October 25, 2025 coordinating with a team of up to 25 volunteers onsite.
  • Communicate with a diverse range of vendors such as AV equipment, flatware / glassware rentals, farmers and purveyors, and wine distributors.
  • Coordinate with chef and bar partners to organize menus, ingredient requests, and onsite event logistics.
  • Work alongside Sprouts general event planner, who will be remote until the week of the event.
  • Collaborate with Sprouts Marketing Team and Development Team to promote partnerships, sponsors, and event talent.
  • Work with Sprouts Event Director to recruit and onboard volunteers.
  • Collaborate with the OpenTable team to promote the event, update the ticketing platform, and sell tickets.
  • Help Event Director finalize all pre-and-post event details, including printed materials, run of show timeline, chef menus, guest invites, and thank you messages to partners.

    Locations and Hours

  • 10-30 hours per week, remote, schedule determined by applicant.
  • Based in San Francisco, NYC, and Philadelphia.
  • Commitments and Contract Period

    Early February-Mid November, 2025.

    Compensation

  • 35-40 / hr, based on experience and skill set, contracted position.
  • If based outside of SF up to $500 reimbursement for plane ticket and $150 daily per diem for up to four days onsite for October 5, 2025 SF gala.
