Job Title: Full-Charge Bookkeeper

Ovadia Design Group is an award-winning interior design and architecture firm specializing in full-scale, beginning-to-end architecture and interior design. We are seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The Full-Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for managing client relationships and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires a balance of client engagement and meticulous financial management. A background in interior design is beneficial, as it improves understanding of industry-specific financial practices and client interaction needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing client accounts, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, and account reconciliations.
- Record daily financial transactions, including income, expenses, and bank transactions.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on financial goals.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department on vendor payables, delivery schedules, and project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor of degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Proven experience in account management, bookkeeping, or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting software.
- Knowledge or experience in the interior design industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Analytic mindset with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
