Position Summary:
The Senior Risk Consultant performs comprehensive analyses of multi-line and specialty losses, as well as operational assessments, to facilitate the effective execution of intricate risk enhancement initiatives. This role supports business growth and client retention objectives by addressing the risk improvement strategies of clients, showcasing a profound understanding of their operations, risks, and risk profiles. The consultant formulates project plans tailored to achieve outcomes that align with the business's revenue targets and budget constraints, executing these plans with professionalism and consistency. Improvement is measured through metrics that identify gaps and deficiencies, accompanied by relevant communications with stakeholders, including quarterly and annual success stories. The consultant plays a vital role in the company's growth strategy by incorporating a structured framework into client interactions, thereby distinguishing OVD, retaining clients, and expanding existing accounts through efficient and cost-effective service delivery. This includes proactive management of renewals to leverage OVD products or services that provide high-quality risk solutions for clients. The consultant is actively involved in account planning, budget processes, working groups, and strategic reviews, contributing significantly to the implementation of growth strategies and ongoing improvement initiatives.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Manage a book of business comprised of high-value clients while strategically implementing solutions to holistically enhance the end-user risk management approach.
- Regular visits to client locations and involvement with client safety initiatives
- Assists clients in implementing recommendations submitted by the insurance carrier staff or representatives
- Responsible for establishing and monitoring the budget for the Risk Department.
- Oversees the development and implementation of safety policies/procedures.
- Analyzes client loss reports for trends to develop valuable service offerings.
- Develops and conduct presentations and training sessions with client management and employees.
- Gathers information through surveys of all lines of business from prospects and clients to assist in the marketing of the client’s insurance programs.
- Serves as the liaison between insurance carrier staff and clients.
- Develops Risk Solution service plans for inclusion in prospect and client insurance programs
- Ensures strategic service plans of the department effective and completed.
- Assists Producers on client and prospective sales presentations.
- Attends industry professional meetings, conventions, seminars, and other training courses.
- Limited Direction: Works from overall policies, goals, and budgetary limits. Virtually self-supervising with direct accountability for final results.
- Establishes work assignments, priorities, and protocols for team members. Accountable for the allocation, scheduling, and oversight of work quality and volume. Authorizes leave requests and modifications to schedules. Delivers training and mentorship to junior team members.
- Any other duties and tasks that are required by the Company.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Ten (10) or more years of field loss control, safety, compliance or increasing levels of responsibilities in related operations.
- B.S degree preferred in a related field to include health and safety, science, engineering; or equivalent
- Ongoing commitment to professional development through continuous education.
- Ability to work onsite in a full-time or hybrid capacity (management discretion).
- Must be able to travel to client locations and events as needed.
- Demonstrated administrative computing skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Power Point)
