Welcome to a medical center where you're the center of attention.Pay range : $50.78 - $76.17Overlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Nurse Case Manager to support our Emergency Department. This position is responsible for initial medical necessity review for level of care, as well as facilitating the patient's ED presentation, performing initial assessments for patients being admitted, and coordinating resources for successful discharge from the ED back to the community. The Case Manager interfaces with Physicians, Nurses, Social Workers, Payers, and other healthcare team members to expedite medically appropriate, cost-effective care.Schedule : Monday - Friday, Day ShiftQualifications :
- Associate degree in nursing required. Bachelors or Masters degree in nursing preferred.
- Current Washington State license as a Registered Nurse required. Certified Case Manager (CCM) or Accredited Case Manager (ACM) certification preferred.
- Five years acute care nursing experience required.
- Prior case management, utilization management, and / or payer experience required.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, physicians, and payors.
