Role Summary:
We’re looking for a seasoned Human Resources Manager to lead all aspects of Overland AI’s human resources operations. You will be instrumental in building and shaping our HR policies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all day-to-day HR functions such as maintaining employee records and handling HR information systems.
- Lead employee benefits and perks administration, including plan selection and open enrollment process, benefits compliance, and day-to-day benefits plan management.
- Collaborate with leadership to manage compensation structure and performance management programs.
- Ensure adherence to applicable employment, labor, and workplace safety laws and regulations. Keep up to date on the latest regulatory requirements and implement changes as necessary.
- Develop and implement HR policies and standard operating procedures across the organization to support operational efficiency and compliance.
- Refine and maintain the employee handbook to reflect current practices.
- Create and execute learning and development programs that promote employee development and organization growth.
- Oversee the hiring process from offer management to onboarding, ensuring a comprehensive onboarding plan to welcome and integrate new employees effectively.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Leadership experience as an HR Manager or similar role.
- Experience providing direction through a strong understanding of employment policies and best practices.
- Experience in a startup environment, shaping HR operations and practices for a fast-growing company.
- Experience leading HR policy creation to implementation.
- HR experience with employees based in multiple states including Washington and California.
- Detail oriented, with excellent organizational, project management, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident in managing and nurturing employee relations.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity amid a fast-moving, rapidly growing business.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaborate with teams across an organization.
