Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic Youth Sports Instructors to join our team. As an OTA Instructor, you will be responsible for leading and coaching children in a variety of sports and physical activities. You will play a key role in fostering a love for sports, promoting healthy lifestyles, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and instruct youth sports programs, including afterschool activities, camps, classes, and clinics.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with OTA’s curriculum and goals.
- Provide a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes among children.
- Monitor and ensure the safety of all participants during activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents, participants, and other staff members.
- Assist with setup and cleanup of program equipment and facilities.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Passion for working with children and promoting physical activity.
- Prior experience in coaching, teaching, or working with children in a sports or recreational setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various sports and physical activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate groups of children with varying skill levels.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to various program locations.
