Job Title: School Nurse (serves all grade levels: Head Start through 12th)
Reports to: Elementary Principal / Superintendent
Primary Purpose:
Maintain required immunization records, perform State mandated health screenings, track communicable diseases, respond to emergencies, provide direct care to students, faculty, and staff, and implement district school health programs.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED RN SCHOOL OF NURSING
- CURRENT TEXAS REGISTERED NURSING LICENSE
- CPR (HEALTHCARE PROVIDER) CERTIFICATION
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- 2 YEARS OF CLINICAL NURSING EXPERIENCE
- 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
