Job Title: School Nurse (serves all grade levels: Head Start through 12th)

Reports to: Elementary Principal / Superintendent

Primary Purpose

Maintain required immunization records, perform State mandated health screenings, track communicable diseases, respond to emergencies, provide direct care to students, faculty, and staff, and implement district school health programs.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

• GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED RN SCHOOL OF NURSING
• CURRENT TEXAS REGISTERED NURSING LICENSE
• CPR (HEALTHCARE PROVIDER) CERTIFICATION
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• 2 YEARS OF CLINICAL NURSING EXPERIENCE
• 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
