Ovid-Elsie Area Schools is located in Clinton County in Mid-Michigan. This predominantly agricultural area is just thirty minutes from the State capital of Lansing and Michigan State University. The major traveling corridors of US 127 and I-69 are within minutes of the district. The District serves about 1270 students in four buildings β a high school, middle school and two elementary schools. Ovid-Elsie is also the chartering entity for Michigan International Prep School.
The Ovid-Elsie Area Schools Board of Education seeks a superintendent who is a strong leader, has strong financial skills, and will be an effective communicator with staff and community. This person will work actively with the Board, staff, and community to set and reach goals for the district. This superintendent should be approachable, honest, and ethical.
Salary and Contract Information
The Board will offer a comprehensive, multi-year contract. Compensation will be commensurate with experience of the successful candidate and requirements of the position. A preliminary salary / annuity range of $140,000 to $160,000 has been established.
