What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at OVP Health?
JOB PURPOSE: The Controller will report directly to CEO and board and will be responsible for providing oversight for all financial and accounting activities of a large and fast-growing healthcare company. The Controller, working with other management, will have ownership of achieving the company’s performance metrics, budgeting, and financial reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial record and preparation of financial statements and analysis must be prepared on a monthly basis
- Monitors and oversee all the accounting operations
- Recommend benchmarks
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts-works with all departments to produce annual budgets and forecast
- Works with external auditors and CPA that prepares tax filings
- Must ensure company is compliant with local, state, and federal government entities
- Management of accounting staff
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is directly responsible for the other financial positions within the division.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5 years’ experience in a healthcare preferred
- Recent experience with QuickBooks preferred
- CPA preferred

TRAVEL:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
