Owen Equipment, an Owen Company, is looking to hire an experienced Bucket Truck Technician to join our growing team. We are one of the largest Vactor and Elgin dealers in the United States and sell, service and rent sewer cleaners, vacuum excavators, street sweepers and related accessories We are expanding our product line to include Elliott & Versalift targeted to the Utility sector to complement our Truvac Excavation line. We maintain five full-service locations in Portland, Oregon; Kent, Washington; Spokane, Washington; Fairfield, California; and Salt Lake City, Utah and our customer base consists of the largest municipalities and contractors in the Western U.S & are looking to develop and expand our customer base to the Utility sector both to private and public sector. Our equipment is critical to keeping our streets and sewer systems clean, locating buried infrastructure during construction projects, as well as disaster recovery and helping to build and maintain our electrical grid.

- Diagnose equipment problems and perform necessary repairs.
- Provide customers with support for start-up or trouble shooting.
- Perform annual inspections and annual ANSI 92.2 compliance certifications.
- Provide timely and detailed status reports to supervisor.
- Maintain professional demeanor with clients and customers
- Inspect vehicles and equipment for wear, damage, or specific problems that might affect performance and safety
- Perform factory-recommended preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Good attendance and punctuality.
- Travel up to 25% of time with occasional overnight travel.
Qualifications
- Three or more years' experience with either construction or heavy diesel equipment with hydraulics, electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Welding and fabrication experience, a plus.
- Possess a complete toolset required for service.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Able to pass a background and pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to create clear parts requisitions and document service work orders.
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external customers
- This position is based at our Portland, Oregon branch.
