Shipping manager will manage the daily shipping and distribution operations, ensuring loads are shipped and delivered in a timely basis. He/she will be analytical, well-organized, and have excellent communication skills. The shipping manager must be comfortable with paperwork, computers and information systems. Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures is a must.

- Use of computer to track, check, prioritize and route loads
- Manage documents such as shipping notices, bills of lading, etc.
- Direct and coordinate the flow of loads
- Inspect labels, codes and other symbols on pieces
- Supervise and lead others, including shipping clerks and material handlers
- Collaborate with managers of other departments to optimize workflow
- Resolve issues regarding shipped loads
- Reports to Transportation Manager

- Proven experience as a shipping manager
- Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
