What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager position at Owen Thomas Group?
Position Objective: Responsible for assisting the project team with project administration, scheduling, project budgets, billing, etc. Build and maintain relationships with architects, clients, subcontractors, and other jobsite personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and manage relationships with clients, architects, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
•Review, coordinate, distribute, and submit administrative paperwork to architects and owners as required.
•Maintain project schedule by assisting with creating and regularly updating the “progress schedule” with Superintendent and Project Manager.
•Assist with preparing all subcontracts and purchase orders
•Assist with preparation and maintenance of project budgets alongside Project Manager and Senior Project Manager.
•Review and verify weekly invoicing through accounts payable and maintaining rental and tool logs for assigned projects.
•Review, coordinate, produce, and distribute RFI’s (requests for information) as required.
•Review and become familiar with owner contracts, subcontractor master agreements, purchase orders and subcontracts, all contract drawings, specifications, addenda, alternates, etc.
•Assist with preparation of schedule of values for monthly application for payment submissions.
•Monitor the delivery of items provided by major vendors and subcontractors in conjunction with Project Manager and Superintendent.
•Produce, distribute, and close all items in pre-substantial completion punch list in conjunction with Superintendent.
• Assist with closeout document preparation, coordination, inventory, and submission of attic stock materials at project completion.
• Assist with compiling and archiving all job data upon completion of project.
• Track all warranty items on completed projects
• Ensure job office and site is organized, clean, and presentable at all times
• Assist Superintendent and Project Manager as required
• Complete training requirements as assigned
• Additional duties as required
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction
Management, or related field.
• 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in commercial construction
• OSHA 30 certification
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
