JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTING MANAGER
RESPONSIBLE TO: PRESIDENT/CEO
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. COMPILATION OF MONTHLY BOARD REPORTS
2. PREPARATION OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
3. COST ANALYSIS OF OPERATION REVENUES AND EXPENSES INCLUDING PROJECTED INTEREST FROM LOANS, FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR INVESTMENTS, AND DIVIDENDS.
4. RESEARCH, PLACEMENT AND MONITORING OF INVESTMENTS
5. COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATORY REPORTING
6. CASH MANAGEMENT
7. PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (FIXED ASSETS)
8. OVERSIGHT OF PERIODIC CASH COUNTS
9. OVERSIGHT OF THE ABANDONDED PROPERTY PROGRAM
10. MONITOR MAINFRAME SYSTEM (HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE) FOR COST
11. PUNCTUAL COMPLETION OF BANK RECONCILEMENTS
12. MAINTENANCE AND SUPERVISION OF ACCOUNTING RECORDS
13. COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF OPERATIONS POLICY
14. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
15. GENERAL LEDGER ENTRIES
16. ASSET/LIABILITY MANAGEMENT REPORTING
17. COORDINATE AND WORK WITH AUDITORS AND REGULATORS
18. BUDGET PREPARATION
19. OTHER DUTIES ASSIGNED BY PRESIDENT/CEO
CRITERIA
UNIVERSITY DEGREE IN BUSINESS, MANAGEMENT OR ACCOUNTING REQUIRED. CPA PREFERRED, HOWEVER, EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED. EFFECTIVELY PREPARE REPORTS AND COMMUNICATE TO THE PRESIDENT/CEO AND DEPARTMENT MANAGERS. MAINTAIN A HIGH LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF CREDIT UNION POLICIES, CONFIDENTIALITY, PLEASANT PERSONALITY AND A GOOD WORK ATTITUDE IS VERY IMPORTANT.
