Manager of Therapy Services

Job Summary

 

Assists the Director of Therapy Services in managing the daily operations (inpatient & outpatient) for the following services: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Audiology.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists Director in developing specific department goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Assists Director in managing staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
• Assists Director in scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.
• Assists Director in developing and managing department budgets, regulatory compliance, department contracts, and vendor relations.
• Assists Director in determining and justifying the need for systems, equipment, supply purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
• Assists the Director in assessing the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
• May provide patient care when necessary.
• Educates the patient and family about the illness and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
• Assists Director in coordinating student clinical rotations for each discipline for the multiple universities affiliated with the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Physical Therapy required upon hire OR
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required upon hire OR
• Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology required upon hire OR
• Bachelor's degree or higher in related field required upon hire
• A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience required
• PT - Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire OR
• OT - Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire OR
• SLP - Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire
