Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician. The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals. This is an opportunity for a long term position and to join a growing company.
Responsibilities
- Maintain current licensing, training requirements, and compliance with NEC, state, and local regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and layout conduit, lighting, and control systems.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components.
- Perform critical electrical tie-ins, outages, inspections, and necessary replacements.
- Participate in safety functions, including toolbox talks, audits, and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and training to team members as needed.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete quality work within deadlines.
- Direct and oversee workers to ensure proper installation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Follow policies, procedures, safety rules, and federal and state laws.
- Be able to inspect and replace faulty wires, electrical systems, or components to determine condition and identify repairs needed.
- Travel: Must be open to traveling nationwide up to 85% of the time.
- Skills: Strong time management, accountability, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, including occasional late evenings or weekends.
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; 6 years of experience in heavy commercial electrical work strongly recommended.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with conduit bends, wire pulls, and electrical systems, including high-voltage circuits, generators, transformers, and switchgear.
- Leadership: Ability to supervise teams of 5-10 on job sites while keeping projects on track.
- Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA lock-out/tag-out procedures, NFPA-70E standards, and National Electrical Code; OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license and State Journeyman's Electrical License (Required): first-week orientation will be in Fort Worth, TX.
