Position Summary:
The Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice by efficiently managing appointment bookings, coordinating patient schedules, and maintaining provider calendars. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accurately schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and procedures using EMR systems (e.g., CERBO, Wellness Living).
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, providing accurate information.
- Verify patient information and insurance details for scheduling purposes.
- Maintain the EMR system with up-to-date and accurate appointment data.
- Assist patients with pre-appointment requirements and follow-up scheduling.
- Work collaboratively with medical providers and administrative staff to optimize the scheduling process.
- Monitor appointment schedules and adjust to accommodate urgent or last-minute changes.
- Address patient concerns and reschedule appointments as necessary with empathy and efficiency.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Work Environment:
- Works in an office environment with occasional exposure to patient care areas.
- May be required to occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds.
