What are the responsibilities and job description for the Science Teacher - High School position at Oxbow High School?
Oxbow Middle/High School is seeking to hire a full-time high school science teacher starting with the 2025-2026 school year. This is a permanent position which is part of the Orange East Education Association's Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The High School Science Teacher is responsible for creating a flexible level program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. Knowledge of general science and a concentration in Biology is preferred. The teacher will work to establish effective rapport with students, to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education in accordance with each student’s ability, and to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members. A familiarity with project-based and experiential learning is a big plus.
