Pool Design Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Swimming Pool Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate designs for various projects, consulting with clients and contractors, and utilizing their expertise in mechanical design and drafting. The Designer will work closely with other team members to ensure that designs meet the necessary standards and are in line with the company's vision.

Duties:

• Prepare detailed designs and schematics for various projects, utilizing computer detailed software.

• Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure that designs meet the required specifications and are feasible for construction.
• Conduct thorough research to identify the most effective and efficient design solutions for the project.
• Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of design progress, including design iterations and changes.
• Ensure that all designs are compliant with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Participate in the development of project proposals and budgets, providing input on design and construction costs.
• Interacting with crews, homeowners, general contractors, landscape architects, & subcontractors
• Estimating & change orders
• Scheduling with subcontractors & construction crews
• Tracking job costs vs estimated costs
• Bi-monthly and monthly billing.
• Submitting as-builts and project close-out

Skills and Experience Desired

• Proficiency in CAD software
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with construction methods and materials.
• A passion for innovation and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies.
• Literate in blueprints, scope of work, and specifications docs.
• Microsoft Office suite use - must be comfortable using Excel
• Time management; Work on multiple projects concurrently
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
An interest in landscaping

• Clean and valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Annual salary from $90,000 -$125,000 per year, paid weekly.

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Education: Bachelor's (Strongly Preferred) or at least 3 years relevant experience.

Language: English (Required) and Spanish (preferred)

Work Location: In person at the office in Napa with occasional site visits in Napa, Sonoma, and Marin counties.

Typical Working Conditions: Work is performed both in office and outdoor environments; some exposure to varying temperatures; exposure to dust, steam, controlled and hazardous substances, pesticides, herbicides, gases and chemicals; working around electrical current, and moving machinery parts; regular contact with staff and the public

Equipment Used: Frequent use of company car, cell phone, copier and printer, standard office electronics and laptop.
