What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembly Technician position at OxeFit, Inc.?
Salary Range: Based on experience
As a mechanical assembler, you will have the opportunity to support the creation and manufacturing of OxeFit’s advanced strength training system units.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to interpret blueprints and assembly drawings
- Perform assembly of board and system-level product including press-fits
- Identify and communicate issues or improvements in mechanical assembly of products to engineering or supervisor
- Assembly of electro-mechanical systems and subsystems
- Able to work at ground level and/or standing for extended periods
- Interpret and follow assembly drawings, and electrical schematics
- Understand how to safely use general shop tools such as hand tools, power drivers, crimpers, soldering iron, etc.
- Use measuring equipment for accuracy (calipers, micrometer, etc.)
- Perform wire and cable assembly
- Work under close supervision within well-established practices and clearly defined scope of work
- Able to operate effectively within a team
- Take initiative on problem solving with assigned tasks
- Practice safe workplace procedures while exposed to shop elements such as dust, fumes, chemicals, noise, etc.
- Maintain general shop upkeep
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good work history and attendance record
- Familiar with tools, fastener types, and torque specs
- Experience with electromechanical assemblies
