What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Tester position at OxeFit?
Salary Range: Based on experience
As a QA Tester, you will have the opportunity to support the development of OxeFIt’s advanced strength training system units through various forms of software testing throughout the product lifecycle to ensure an overall positive user experience.
Essential Functions:
- Identify areas of improvement surrounding functionality, usability, and ergonomics and provide recommendations to optimize the customer experience
- Provide test cases to enforce and supplement use case acceptance criteria
- Communicate qualitative and quantitative findings, reproduction steps, and defect/error reports to development teams
- Monitor efforts to resolve product(s) issues and track progress
- Work in close collaboration with other departments to improve overall process efficiency and achieve high customer satisfaction
- Maintain a library of regression test scripts
- Help define quality gates and process flows in CI/CD pipelines
- Exercise creative problem solving and critical thinking when performing automated and/or manual testing
- Ensure the final product meets or exceeds end-user expectations
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or any related field
- 5 years of experience in a QA or test engineer related role
- Experience in QA methodologies
- Experience testing and troubleshooting web-based and mobile applications
- Experience testing RESTful APIs with tools such as Postman
- Experience with white-box and black-box testing
- Experience querying databases
- Help define and implement QA procedures, workflows, and best practices
- ● Assist with selection and management testing software and tools
- ● Implement new software testing frameworks, tools, and techniques
- ● Develop acceptance criteria and test cases
- ● Track and report test coverage and result metrics
- ● Lead release planning and coordination activities
