Sr System Engineer
Position Overview :
Our client is looking to add a Sr Embedded Software Engineer to their team in Goleta to support project work in the defense space :
Key Responsibilities :
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will :
- Provide systems engineering support for the design, development, integration, testing, and verification of highly complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to create specifications for components and subsystems.
- Define hardware and software interfaces between various subsystems.
- Develop, test, analyze, and document turret fire control algorithms.
- Build linear and nonlinear dynamic models and simulations to assess system performance.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
- Support lab and field testing of systems and components.
- Generate technical documentation including plans and reports.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing is required.
5 to 10 years of industry experience in systems engineering.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
