Job Title: Birthday Party Attendant
Department: Birthday Parties
Job Summary: Birthday Party Attendants will staff, setup, manage, and clean up children’s birthday parties. Attendants will coach children and lead party activities, attending to the needs of both the whole group and the individual children.
Job Relationships: Reports to: Jonathan Chu, Business Development Director- Racquet Sports and Camps
Essential Job Duties:
Birthday Parties
1. Working birthday parties as assigned. Friday evening and weekend availability are required.
2. Setting up spaces, preparing areas, and moving furniture as needed. Customizing the birthday rooms, outdoor areas, basketball court, and pool as directed.
3. Greeting customers and managing the guest entry system. Guiding them to the appropriate rooms.
4. Leading organized games and activities in the basketball court, pool, or outside.
5. Learning to set up and manage Bounce House and Bounce Obstacle Course as part of a team effort.
6. Serving food according to the customer’s specifications, communicating with the Kitchen staff, and ensuring the customers’ needs are being met.
7. Cleaning spaces and setting up for subsequent parties.
Skills:
-Superb customer service and interpersonal skills
-Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with many different departments
-Outgoing personality and a desire to create fun for others.
-Strong swimming skills and ability to lead activities in the pool
-Proficiency in learning new games and then teaching games to children
Qualifications:
-Applicant must be over 18 years old
-Child clearances or ability to attain them- Child Abuse History Check, PA Criminal History, and FBI Fingerprinting check
-1 to 2 years/seasons working with groups of Children in schools, daycares, or summer camps
-1 to 2 years/seasons coaching children
-2 to 3 years of playing organized sports
Required Education and Experience:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education and Experience:
-CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Physical Demands:
-Ability to move tables and chairs
-Ability to lift loads sufficient to set up an inflatables unit
-Ability to go up and down stairs
-Proficient in swimming and ability to play with children in the pool
FLSA Classification: non-exempt
