Job Summary
Develops and maintains reliable accounting information on income, expenses, assets, liabilities and capital as a basis for management planning and decision making. Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the preparation of internal financial reports and regulatory reporting.
Primary Responsibilities
Make general ledger entries as required
Reconciles & review various general ledger accounts monthly
Balances various subsystems as required (ITMs ATMs Teller cash, etc)
Learn Banktel system for payables, fixed assets & prepaid processing
Reconcile investment portfolio monthly and prepare entries
Produces various monthly bank financial reports including board report schedules, ALM, investments, & others
Learn and Manage Customer Profitability Reporting system including data input, monthly review and reporting, and working with various departments in reviewing and understanding customer profitability based upon loan and deposit relationships.
Learn and Manage CECL Model (Current Expected Credit Losses) for estimating and reporting expected credit losses of the banks loan portfolio and determining the appropriate balance in the allowance for loan and lease losses.
Review regulatory reports as required (i.e. F.D.I.C., F.R.B., F.H.L.B.)
Work closely with the CFO on various department and bank reporting as necessary
Responsible for continuing education and remaining current in banking laws and regulations pertinent to position and function
Assists external accounting firm as necessary
Acts as Bank representative with various external organizations and attends internal meetings as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills

Must be punctual and maintain scheduled attendance
Knowledge and experience with bank computer and operating system requirements
Proficient PC skills to include working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word and Excel; e-mail
Ability to communicate professionally with a diverse population of customers, agencies and employees both verbally and in writing
Ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment and maintain a commitment to accuracy and timelines
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance preferred
Zero to three years of practical experience
*This position will comply with all BSA compliance laws and regulations including the Banks BSA policy and procedure
