Tourism Economics is a subsidiary of Oxford Economics dedicated to analytical consulting in the tourism sector. We are seeking a high calibre Research Analyst to join our team, based in Wayne/Philadelphia, PA.
Our client includes destination marketing organizations at the city, state, and national levels; leading industry trade associations; and major corporate owners, operators and brands in the travel sector. We have a longstanding relationship with many of our clients, typically through subscription-based services or recurring studies.
This individual must be analytical and independent, with a desire to support our Symphony clients better understand market trends utilizing both organizational and destination-related indicators.
Attention to detail is critical and the individual needs take pride in producing accurate work on a timely basis in collaboration with colleagues. This position offers strong opportunities for skill development and personal growth as part of a highly talented and growing team.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Insights team with market analysis and industry trends.
- Publish reports and verify client dashboards are up to date by monitoring for refresh issues and promptly addressing them.
- Monitor the Symphony platform "staleness meter" to identify delayed data refreshes and coordinate with the appropriate team for resolution.
- Assist Insights Managers on client calls and support ongoing client relationships.
- Assist with creating presentations by pulling relevant slides from past OE & TE decks and client dashboards, collaborating with the Insights Manager to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Work closely with Project Coordinators to keep client tasks moving forward.
- Identify recurring client requests to help the Innovation and Product Development teams develop new templates for broader use.
- Recognize common dashboard issues to streamline Engineering's resolution and improve workflow.
- 1-3 years of experience with tourism-related data.
- Strong analytics and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (experience with Tableau a plus).
- Experience in reporting to both internal and external audiences.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills.
