THE POSITION:
Assistant Infant Teacher - Full-time - Mon-Fri - Onsite Brighton, MI (Available between hours of 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
The Assistant Teacher will be providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. This involves monitoring the children's activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. The Assistant Teacher should be alert and aware of any potential hazards, such as sharp objects or dangerous toys, and take steps to prevent accidents.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing age-appropriate activities that are appropriate for the children's age and developmental stage. These activities may include storytelling, strolling, music, etc.
- Communicating with parents maintaining open communication with parents to discuss their child's progress and any concerns they may have. This includes providing daily updates on the child's activities and behavior, as well as addressing any questions or issues that may arise.
- Administering basic first aid in the event of a minor injury or illness and contact emergency services if necessary.
- Maintaining a clean and organized environment including the play area, restrooms, and kitchen. This involves cleaning toys and equipment, as well as ensuring that all surfaces are disinfected regularly.
- Adhering to licensing and safety regulations. The nanny should be familiar with all licensing and safety regulations that apply to the facility and ensure that they are being followed at all times.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with children preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
