clients—independent restaurants, bars, cafes, and hospitality groups—across onboarding, compliance,

You’ll work closely with the OS internal team to support a range of HR projects for our
clients—independent restaurants, bars, cafes, and hospitality groups—across onboarding, compliance,
employee relations, and operational setup. A strong background in hospitality is essential, as is the
ability to manage multiple clients and deliverables at once.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support client-facing HR projects, including handbook development, job descriptions,
- Own the client relationship lifecycle—from onboarding to project management and
- Research and advise on federal, state, and local labor laws (with a focus on CA and NY) to keep
- Draft and edit internal policies, training materials, and HR-related communications tailored to
- Assist in implementing HR tools and systems (ATS, onboarding platforms, HRIS, etc.)
- Help clients shape people-first practices like performance reviews, time-off policies, and
- Join discovery calls and client check-ins to assess needs and provide strategic, actionable
- Collaborate with the OS team to manage timelines, track deliverables, and support multiple
- Handle sensitive employee and client information with the highest level of confidentiality and
What You Bring To The Table
- 3-5 years of experience in HR, people operations, or HR consulting
- Proven success managing client relationships, timelines, and deliverables
- Hands-on experience in the hospitality industry (restaurant, hotel, food & beverage strongly
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws (especially CA and NY)
- Excellent communication and writing skills—especially for handbooks, policies, and internal
- Detail-oriented and highly organized; able to juggle multiple projects at once
- Empathetic and solution-oriented, with a collaborative mindset
- Familiarity with platforms like Gusto, Rippling, BambooHR, Asana, and Google Workspace is a
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a bonus, but not required
