What you will do
- Responsible for patient check-in/check out, greeting each patient in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Evaluates and enters chart data. Verifies all information has been received and completed, and signatures obtained.
- Ensures that a referral is obtained for patients that insurance requires.
- Answers phones in a professional, friendly manner.
- Schedules appointments.
- Answering telephones including taking payments over the phone, scheduling and cancelling appointments.
- Works all incoming faxes, distributing accordingly.
- Clean lobby, close/lock front door and roll phones at the end of the day.
- Collects and explain fees for services; processes patient co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance.
- Manages schedules to ensure that all openings are filled for the week.
- Maintains updated billing procedures and correct coding modifiers.
- Assists other front office personnel as needed.
